Symbol Magick

To most, symbol magick is the base of all magick. One needs true incentive in order to work most magicks. Symbols and runes help magick flow and give breath to incentive.

Witches started developing symbol magick when they found they could hone in incentive. Over time, as each symbol was used over and over again, that incentive grew and that symbol became more powerful because enough witches had put their incentive and beliefs into them. Symbols strengthen incentive and focus it, putting magick into the symbol itself. The most used and most popular symbols are the most powerful.

In order for symbols to work, they need to be written with soul essence or spirit magick. The essence can come from rock or chalk, but some kind of soul or essence has to be given.

Rune Magick:

Rune magick is a type of symbol magick, but rune magick was developed by the gods working with druids who practice Druidry.

Runes are mainly used in Druidry to communicate with gods or to use god essence, which people have practiced over their lifetime to understand and do. Gods can also place runes, which strengthen their essence, in that area.

Chalk-rising:

Chalk-rising is good for practicing symbols and runes because certain terrains give more power and focus to the symbols in a safe environment. For example, black mirror onyx makes the symbols more effective because the transfer when rising is seamless, and there is power within the onyx that strengthens the symbols drawn and used with essence, a lot like marble. People can test to see if they are faster with drawing symbols and memorizing them and see which ones are stronger against certain other symbols and which have more incentive. Some symbols are naturally supposed to be stronger but may fail if not implemented correctly or if the incorrect amount of incentive is given into the chalk when transferred to the ground. With chalk-rising, mixing symbols is also a lot easier to test and try to use to create one’s own, which doesn’t happen that often anymore. Usually chalk-rising has safeguards to let the earth ground them and not hurt anyone. It also streamlines the magick.

There are symbols that can condense the spirit by stripping away its past lives. This is looked down upon and hard to do, and it is also not taught by respectable sources.

If a symbol is drawn on the floor with crystal, the power will last longer and be more powerful.

There are some symbols that hardly ever work, like making people fall asleep, making people feel hatred, or disguising someone. Those can only be performed in certain situations. If the symbol is noticed, the magick doesn’t work because the mind catches on to what is going on, and they pay attention to the symbol instead of the movement the symbol is tied into. And if visuals or anything is put over it to hide the symbol, it diminishes its effect.

Some symbols have keys, and some have bases. A key is a small part used repeatedly to manipulate a certain incentive, and a base is a single symbol that is always used but may be morphed or changed to fix the situation.

Symbol magick is not easy. It is all about incentive and knowing what to change and manipulate to perfectly fit that incentive and make it as strong as possible. Incentive, though, can make a not perfectly drawn symbol work, but one also needs confidence in order to do that. Normally, one would have to make a symbol perfect in order to draw in an incentive from the past.
